A Change to the Newsletter
We've been releasing the newsletter at the end of each month. Starting with the December issue, we will be sending them out the first Monday of the month. It just seems to make more since to have the December issue at the beginning of the month instead of at the end.

Leopard has Arrived

In October of this year, Apple released the Leopard 10.5 operating system. While I’m not yet running Leopard, I’ve seen it in action on several machines and it looks awesome! If you’re interested, you can go to MacLeopard.org, an excellent site to find information.

Since this newsletter is about how PrintPoint and Leopard work together I won’t go into the details about the OS, but we’ve noticed some cosmetic issues. Nothing noticed thus far affects the operation of PrintPoint and we are working on these appearance concerns which will be addressed in a future release of PrintPoint.

For those of you running PrintPoint as Client/Server we do want to advise caution before upgrading to Leopard. Your data is very important and since this new OS is cutting edge technology, we have little reference as to its stability. It might be best to give the tech community some time running Leopard before upgrading your server.

We’re excited about Apple’s Leopard and Microsoft’s Vista, the direction these new operating systems have taken, and will continue to keep PrintPoint at the cutting edge running alongside.

Upgrading to Leopard

Not everyone is fortunate to purchase a new Mac and get Leopard. In the event you’re upgrading your current Mac, there are some steps to follow. I found a website that has all the information you need. Guy Kawasaki is one of Apple's original employees and he's put together "Top Ten Tips" for upgrading to Leopard. His blog can be found here.

Hiding and Displaying the Dropdown Menu

Have you ever opened one of the PrintPoint letters only to find the dropdown menus are missing? Or, maybe you wished the dropdown menus could be remove so you could have more space on screen. Good news… We have a build-in feature that will let you hide or display the menus as needed.

If you’re on a Mac, click in the body of the letter. Then hold down your <Shift>+<Cmd>+<M> keys.

If you’re on a PC, click in the body of the letter. Then hold down your <Shift>+<Ctrl>+<Alt>+<M> keys.
