All of you know that PrintPoint has a Shipping Module but are you aware of all that it does?
Let's say you have a job for 10,000 flyers. However, your customer would like them shipped in four weekly shipments of 2,500. When you create the first shipment of 2,500 PrintPoint creates the Delivery/Packing Slip then reduces the amount of product available to ship by 2,500. When the next shipment is due, you open a new shipping docket and you will see the available to ship quantity is 7,500. You can also add the Qty In Stock Balance column to the Job List View so you can easily see how much product is available to ship.
The Shipping Module keeps a record of shipments in the Shipping List View. So, if a customer needs to verify a ship date, you can go to the Shipping List View and easily find the shipping docket.
Another feature of the Shipping Module is the ability to create shipping dockets right from the Electronic Job Ticket. From the Electronic Job Ticket click on the Shipping tab then click on the Ship Record button. From there you can create a shipping docket and not have to even open the Shipping List View.
The Shipping Module also gives you an area to enter 3rd party PO's, UPS/FedEx tracking numbers and enter shipping cost. And the shipping cost is automatically forwarded to the PrintPoint Invoice.
Have you ever needed to create miscellaneous shipment for something like sending a customers artwork back to them? Now you can do it right from the Shipping List View. Simply click on the New button and choose Miscellaneous Shipping Charge. Complete the Shipping Charge form and click OK. A new shipping docket will be created and the any charges will automatically be added to an invoice when it's created.
So, if you are not using the Shipping Module we strongly encourage you to check it out. If you are using the Shipping Module, take a look at all the features to see if you can better streamline your workflow. |
