System Requirements

It is extremely important to understand the health and well-being of the computers which run your PrintPoint Software.

Having a sluggish or inadequate computer system is like having a 4-color press and only using two heads to print a 4-color job. Something you would never consider.

The more powerful the current operating systems have become the greater the memory requirements. For example, Microsoft recommends 1 Gig of Ram for Vista. That means if you have 1 Gig of Ram installed in your computer, you will be running at the minimum required for just the operating system. This leaves very little for any other program. The same holds true for the Macintosh OS as well.

All that being said, when you feel you have a support issue with PrintPoint and are running one of these memory intensive operating systems, running one of these low memory configurations, you might consider adding additional memory to your computer. If youre still running Windows XP (or older) or Macintosh Tiger (or older) 1 Gig of Ram should do the job. However, if you're runing one of these new operating systems, you should have a minimum of 2 Gig of Ram installed.
News and Notes

Estimate/Quote Screen

We designed PrintPoint 5.1 to close the Estimate Screen once the Quote is open. However, a number of you brought to our attention that you frequently refer back to the Estimate while still in the Quote phase. We are currently working on a new release of PrintPoint that will allow both screens to be open.

PrintPoint 5.1 Copy Module

After the release of PrintPoint 5.1 we were contacted about some needed changes to the Copy/Digital module. After working with a couple of the Copy/Digital users, we were able to make an update to the software. This update is available for download. See the Latest News section of the website for more information.
