 | Important Read Me Data File Size!! |
|
We just had one of our clients lose some data because their data file reached the maximum size. If your data file is getting close 1.75 Gigabytes in size you need to let us know. You'll be receiving a brief survey we would like you to complete. The survey will provide us the information we need to ensure you don't have any data file size issues.

PrintPoint 5.1 Released
PrintPoint 5.1 was released on December 1, 2007! The CD's are being mailed and you should receive yours in time for the holiday.
With the release of PrintPoint 5.1 you'll also see changes to the PrintPoint website. Along with the cosmetic updates you will notice a new section in PrintPoint Central named Latest News. This is the place you can go to find any issues that have been reported and the resolution to those issues. PrintPoint 5.1 has been beta tested for more than a half a year and fully installed at many sites during the last 60 days. As of the release of this newsletter we are not aware of any issues with the software. As you begin using PrintPoint 5.1, if you run into anything that doesn't look correct, call or email tech support as soon as possible.
As for the upgrade, this will be one of the easiest upgrades we've had to PrintPoint. PrintPoint 5.1 is a large overhaul to the program but the data base engine has not changed. This means no real change to the Client machines and only a few steps for to the Server or Single User versions. However, if you're still using PrintPoint 4.6 make sure to call tech support before attempting the upgrade.

You'll receive a PrintPoint Upgrade CD. One of the items on the CD will be upgrade instructions. Please read through this entire document before starting the upgrade process. You'll find important information about the Language Folder and a couple of the tax fields. It'll be important to understand these notes before starting the upgrade process.
